Get Help

We know that anyone can reach crisis point and we’re here to help when that happens.

Give Help

We want to make sure that no one in our local community has to go hungry, but we need your help to make this happen.

Christmas bauble with text reading, Can you support us this christmas?

“Without the support of the foodbank, I don’t know where I would have got my next meal from.”

Last year, thanks to your generosity, we distributed 5,223 food parcels to people across the Leith community. We simply couldn’t do it without you.

This Christmas, could you lend your support again? You might organise a food collection, or try a Reverse Advent Calendar- adding one food item each day and donating the full collection to the foodbank.

All donations, big or small, can be dropped off at our warehouse on Wednesday and Friday mornings between 9:00am and 10:30am.
To arrange another drop-off time, please email alison@edinburghne.foodbank.org.uk.

Thank you for helping us support local families this Christmas.

who we are

How our Foodbank Works

We know that anyone can find themselves at crisis point for a number of different reasons.

In order to provide the most appropriate help for the circumstances of your situation, we work with local agencies. If they feel you are struggling to put food on the table, they will issue you with a foodbank voucher. The local agency can also provide long term support if needed to help address some of the issues behind the reasons for your crisis.

Our foodbank works using a voucher system.

When you visit a referral agency they will take some basic details from you to complete the voucher. This will help them to identify the cause of your crisis and offer practical guidance. It also means we are able to prepare suitable emergency food for the right number of people.
